This dream front page was created by my roommate Jomar Statkun. The Daily News and New York Post both ran stories with photos about the use of brutality by the NYPD at yesterdays rally, namely the use of pepper spray and batons. The New York Times barely addresses this, buried deep on page A30, “While a couple of witnesses said that officers used pepper spray to clear streets, Paul J. Browne, the Police Department’s chief spokesman, said that one officer ‘possibly’ used it.” And then the paragraph continues to discuss arrests that were made. Interesting to also see that on page A3 of the NYT, a large graphic photo is shown of police manhandling an unarmed protester….in Athens, Greece. The Greek police should make friends with the New York Times so they can avoid having those embarrassing photos published.

the media, the rich & the powerful are saying they are not sure what the protesters want. that means they are so much out of touch of the current reality that they even don’t know what wrong they have done to the commmon people!
