From a story in today’s New York Times, “California Begins Moving Prisoners” by Jennifer Medina, I relocated the prisoners from page A-14 and moved them onto a Crate&Barrel ad on the adjacent page, A-15. The prisoners were originally relocated because “the Supreme Court ruled that over crowding and poor conditions in (California) state prisons violated inmates’ constitutional rights.” The original photo of the prisoners was from 2007 and showed them crowded into a prison gym. The Crate&Barrel ad boasts an African theme, with an art book under the couch titled “Sensual Africa.”
