IN 2012:
365dop will not be adding new artists, it will however remain as an active platform for artists who participated in 2011. Additionally several 2011 artists may take 365dop into their classrooms on a project basis.

Introducing,
a blog with the ultimate goal to remix the newspaper, to engage and create dialogue within all media of art regarding the news, literacy, and the experience of reading the paper. Over the course of 2011, 100+ artists will use the newspaper as fodder to illustrate, sew, draw, paint, sculpt, photograph…
This project was launched in November, 2009 by Maya Joseph-Goteiner
Daily time invested will vary — from a splitting moment to hours. Initially, 365 days of print was an effort to produce something (anything) daily, after two months Maya realized the missing piece: dialogue with other artists. Beginning January 1, 2011, up to 10 artists every month will be invited to participate in 365, with a sort of online residency. Artists will be encouraged to post daily.
If you are interested in participating contact Maya at the email above.
There are no parameters, artists can respond to particular articles or to the paper as an object (mistakes and ignorance are welcome). 365 dop is about endless possibilities. Some pieces may be blindly indulgent, others destructive, kitsch, or desperate. On dull days expect a bland effort, other days the product may be energetic, tipsy or offensive.
This is a test of our patience, a long pass at the potential of creativity. Failure will inform. Barriers will collapse yet exponentially grow.
Welcome
and
Thank you for visiting.
