Irene Chan, Ch’An Press is a multidisciplinary artist who works conceptually in performance, installation, print media, and book arts. Her works are exhibited internationally and are in more than 60 public collections. Ch’An Press has self-published prints and 24 limited-edition artist books to date. Recently, in the tradition of her oral storytelling ancestors, she is expanding her artist books into one-person spoken word performance.

She is a recipient of numerous artist residencies, grants, awards and is a professor of visual arts at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. Later this year, she will be an artist-in-residence at the Performing Arts Forum, France and the Kuandu Museum of Art, Taiwan.
