Peter Jacobs has widely exhibited his art for close to three decades both nationally and abroad, including six museum exhibitions and two biennials.  His work is included in museum, corporate and private collections.  Jacobs has received the top fellowship award from the NJ State Council on the Arts.

The Collage Journal:  Peter Jacobs

On March 31st 2005, I created a 9 by 12 inch collage using that day’s newspaper (usually The NY Times) and have continued that process without interruption every day since.  The Collage Journal is now in its seventh year. I have produced a collage every day solely created from the images and texts of that day’s newspaper. The Journal’s 2090+ collages reside in over 182 Strathmore books. I have thus-far used 40 cutting boards and 245 Exacto blades, and 180 glues-sticks.

I started a blog (www.thecollagejournal.blogspot.com), where I have posted each days work on that day for the last 1 1/2 years.  My website (www.thecollagejournal.com) has the complete first four years of The Collage Journal. The sixth will soon  be added.
