Tracy Timmins works in painting, drawing, video, and installation.
She presents intricate colored pencil drawings which reference collaged imagery and illustrate subliminal gestures sourced from advertising media. The image addresses both the sensation and tactile quality of mark making, and functions as an impulsive response to assimilated information.

Born in Eugene, Oregon, Timmins currently lives in New York. From 2004-2006 she ran auto3321, a storefront gallery on Telegraph Avenue in Oakland, Ca. In 2006 Timmins received a BFA with High Distinction from California College of Arts and is currently a Masters candidate at NYU. She has exhibited her work at galleries both nationally and internationally. Selected exhibitions include: Rena Bransten in San Francisco, CA; Hinter Conti in Hamburg, Germany; Glasgow School of Art, Glasgow, Scotland; Space 1026 in Philadelphia, PA; and Roberts and Tilton in Los Angeles.
