Anja Sijben observes and captures (reflections of) people’s behavior. Her work interprets general postures, which expresses implicit thoughts of the individual alone or in a group: ‘Individuality in collectivity’ of people’s behavior, the private space they take, or implicit thoughts they have in public space. She explores the relationship of the individual and his/her surrounding of which the individual itself is often unaware. She recently started writing texts to complement her photos and videos.
