When asked, I confirm that I labor in the traditions of a box-maker. For me boxes display a bit of mischief by invading and evaporating into the floating world we call living. Identifying then identity, as in a name, is important for first seeing a box. The vocabulary of names is the disguises of a box that helps us in interpreting the world around us. A name and play are the twin elements of a box. I currently live in Wyoming which some identify and some live by a cowboy code. By living in this environment, I can sense the confusion and mystery between heritage and cultural themes.
