I began studying art as a teenager. Having the good fortune to be living in New York, I found my way first to the High School of Art and Design and the Art Students League. Then, as a high school senior, I enrolled at the New York Studio School where I studied with Milton Resnick and Peter Agostini. Those studies remain the foundation for my approach to my work even now, 40 years later. The decade I spent studying Zen while living in Zen Meditation Centers as a young adult exerted an equal influence.

My work is guided by my interests in nature and the mind. I am interested in the relationship of one thing to another, patterns of nature, and experience. My work is always experimental, an attempt to recreate the way in which the environment , both/either natural and/or experiential reveals itself.
I live in the magnificent Columbia River Gorge, outside Portland, Oregon. My work is available through Butters Gallery in Portland, Aberson Exhibits in Tulsa, Oklahoma, or SAM Gallery in Seattle, Washington.
