Dan Evans designs artifacts, environments, and experiences in both the commercial and arts realms with the belief that design is a creatively holistic, and medium-agnostic, endeavor. He has created work for chef Thomas Keller, Sundance Film Festival, Tisch Center for the Arts, David Lieberman Artists’ Representatives, producer/director Alan Poul, E!, Paramount, Warner Bros., Fox, Disney, NBA, and Hasbro. He also is a set designer and media designer for the theater, with a particular interest in site-specific and installation works, dance theatre, and other hybrid forms of live performance. He is currently a professor of design at the University of Utah, and even though he spends his days teaching the finer points of typography, spends countless hours obsessing over the creation of modular typefaces at Fontstruct.com.
