Kenneth Pietrobono is a New York based artist whose work focuses on social and political critique. Through photography, works on paper and installations his work presents what appears to be innocuous documentation of our environment and history. However, with subtle alteration of language, imagery and context he blurs the lines of reality and asserts harsher truths about the world we live in and the dynamics that shape it. As the viewer is forced to decide if what they are seeing is true, they are challenged to either remain complicit or rise to awareness and action.
